Effective July 17, 2026 · applies to the Pinpoint Iran — City Hunt Chrome extension, v1.1.0 and later
Pinpoint Iran is a geography game. It exists to be played, not to gather data about you. This page describes everything the extension stores and transmits, which is short because there is very little of it.
Only if you choose to save a score to the leaderboard, the extension stores:
If you never save a score, nothing is transmitted anywhere.
Leaderboard entries are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), operated by Google LLC on Google Cloud infrastructure and protected by security rules that allow each anonymous session to modify only its own entry. Your local score history and settings are stored on your own device using Chrome's extension storage and never leave it.
The leaderboard is public by design: the nickname and game results you save are visible to every player of the game. That is the entire purpose of saving a score. Your anonymous session ID is not displayed to anyone.
Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with any third party. Data is not used for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or any purpose unrelated to displaying the game leaderboard. This will not change.
Leaderboard entries are kept so the board stays meaningful over time. To have your entry deleted, email the address below with the nickname and approximate date of your score, and it will be removed. Uninstalling the extension deletes all local data immediately; your anonymous session cannot be recreated afterwards.
The extension is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information beyond a self-chosen nickname. Players are free to use any nickname that identifies nothing about them.
If a future version of the extension changes what is collected, this page will be updated before that version is released, with a new effective date above.
